In his Sutter´s Mill turn, a player has to decide between two options: He may either dig gold and move his prospectors from a camp to the various stores and offices of Coloma or he may conduct “actions” with prospectors who are already in Coloma. The more actions a player conducts, the higher the costs.

Actions are:

• Moving a prospector (to a different store or to a camp),
• Entering a new prospector to the game,
• Placing an influence cards into Coloma (if you have a prospector at a store where an influence card is to be placed).
