If I´d have to name just a single game designer/author who has impressed me most in the last months, I would certainly name "Martin Wallace".

Martin is wonderfully creative and tackles a lot of pretty "esotoric" topics. Do you find the topic of Tinner´s Trail sexy? Well, if you answer "yes" you must have a different idea of what is sexy...

However, the game is superbly done - pretty simple rules, random elements and great gameplay.

I consider Phalanx lucky to release several Martin Wallace designs in 2009.
